Using The Tiered Pricing Plugin

Charge a different amount automatically if the price you are charging per item changes based on the amount of items being purchased.

Use Cases For This Plugin:

Perhaps you are selling cookies and each cookie costs $3. But once a customer purchases more than five, you want each additional cookie over the first five to be priced at $1.50.

Another use case for this plugin would be a designer creating stationary. The first 10 cards could be priced at $1 each and each additional card over that could be priced at $0.50. If you wanted to add a third tier so that each card over a set number costs even less, this is also possible.

How to Use This Plug-in:

  1. First, set your packages up on your form. You will need to create a package for each tier, and put the price of that package to be the price of one item in that tier. You will also need to add a quantity box to the package. While technically you could use any of the package plugin elements, we recommend using the package table or package card and using the appropriate smart fields for those plugins while setting these up:

Please remember that all package elements need to be within a container block.

  2. On the settings of the form, ensure that the option for clients to choose multiple packages is turned to ON.

  3. On the Genie side, add the Tiered Pricing Plugin to your form. When editing the plugin, we see that we have an upper threshold quantity as well as the ability to assign the threshold to a package.

You will assign your upper-tier quantity here, and the package that it will auto add to until that quantity is reached. Packages are counted from left to right, top to bottom.

  4. After adding in your values, test out that it is working correctly by inputting a number into the quantity box:
