How to Change the Name of a Plugin

You can rename a plugin in Genie 5.0 to better organize your template and make it easier to identify specific sections. Renaming a plugin only affects how it appears inside Genie and does not change its functionality.

Change a Plugin Name

The plugin’s original name is Header
  1. Open the Template Plugin List.
  2. Select the plugin you want to rename (alternatively, you can click anywhere on your template canvas by clicking on a section of your template that contains a plugin).
  3. The plugin’s edit panel will appear.
  4. Click the plugin name and enter your new label.

Things to Note:

  • Renaming a plugin does not affect how it functions.
  • This change is only visible inside Genie 5.0.
  • Plugin names do not affect live forms or client-facing content.
