Why Are We Discontinuing Genie Classic?

With all the powerful features and improvements included in Genie 5.0, we needed a platform that could fully support what’s next. That means saying goodbye to Genie Classic.

Important: Genie Classic will officially shut down on March 30, 2026.

The upside?

If you’ve ever purchased a plugin, template, or tool from Dub-ins, you’ll receive a free upgrade to Genie 5.0.

What Happens to Templates Using Genie Classic?

Nothing breaks. 🎉

Your existing templates will continue to work exactly as they do now
Your clients will see no changes
Forms will continue to send, sign, and function normally

The only limitation is editing:

After March 30, 2026, you won’t be able to make changes to those templates inside Genie Classic.

How Long Do I Have to Transfer My Templates?

You have unlimited time to transfer your templates to Genie 5.0.

However, keep this dates in mind:

Genie Classic will fully shut down.

When you’re ready, simply log into Genie 5.0, convert your template, and start editing with all the new features. The following articles should help you get started:

Will Anything Change When I Upgrade My Templates?

For the most part, your templates will remain intact. There are just a few things to be aware of:

Text & Fonts

Genie 5.0 uses a new text editor, which allows you to add or update as many lines of text as you’d like in every plugin.

Fonts will need to be reapplied
You will not need to reupload fonts

Layout Adjustments

Some elements may shift slightly as plugins may need to be repositioned relative to Dubsado elements.

With the new Template Plugin List, you can easily drag and drop plugins exactly where you want them.
