Managing Brands in Genie (For Dub+ Specialists)

As a specialist, a Genie Brand represents your client’s Dubsado Brand. Brands are intended for use with your clients or with other Dubsado Brands in your own account. Each Genie Brand links directly to a specific Dubsado Brand or client.

Note: A Genie Brand corresponds to just one Dubsado Brand. If you or your client have multiple Dubsado Brands under a single Dubsado account, each will need its own Genie Brand. For example, if there are 3 Dubsado Brands, you’ll need to use 3 Genie Brands from your total quota.


What Happens When You Run Out of Brands

You have a couple options if you’ve used up your Brand quota:

  1. Purchase another Brand for a one-time fee of $99/Brand.
  2. Upgrade your plan from Ruby to Diamond or Diamond to Platinum (unlimited Brands).
  3. Delete a Brand from your account to open a new Brand spot.

What Happens When You Delete a Brand

If you delete a Brand after setting up a client, a new Brand spot becomes available. However, deleting a Brand permanently removes all assets associated with it, including templates. This action essentially wipes the Brand from your Genie account.

Note: Deleting a Brand does not affect any live Dubsado forms using templates connected to that Brand. Those forms will continue to work as expected.


Impact on Clients

  • White-Labeled Templates

    If you white-labeled a template for the deleted Brand, your client will now see the Dub-ins logo on their form, with an option to purchase a plan to continue editing their template.

  • Transferred Templates

    If you transferred a template to your client—and you are on the Diamond Plan—your client will lose the ability to edit it using Dubsado Side Editing unless they subscribe to a Dub-ins plan.


Good to Know

Again, templates that clients are actively using from the deleted Brand will still function as expected. Deleting a Brand only affects editing capabilities and future updates.
