Working in a Client’s Genie Brand (For Dub+ Specialists)
As a Dub+ member, you can work inside a client’s Genie Brand to manage templates and forms. Unlike Dubsado, the Brand itself is created by you in Dub-ins Genie. The client only needs to give you admin access in their Dubsado account so you can connect their workspace to a new Genie Brand.
Note: In Genie 4.0, you work in your Dub-ins account while editing templates directly inside your client’s Dubsado account.
Step 1: Get Admin Access in Your Client’s Dubsado Account
Before you can create a Brand in Genie for your client, you need admin access in their Dubsado account. Ask your client to do the following:
- In Dubsado, go to Settings
- Click Team Members
- Select Invite New Member
- Enter your email address
- Under Role, select Admin
- Click Send Invite
Important: Admin access is required so you can connect the client’s Dubsado account to a Genie Brand.
Step 2: Access Your Client’s Workspace
Once the invitation is accepted:
- Log into your Dubsado account
- Use the workspace switcher to select your client’s Workspace
- You now have access to their Dubsado account for template setup
Step 3: Create a Brand in Genie and Connect It
- Log into your Dub-ins account
- When prompted, select “Create a New Brand” for your client
- Connect the new Brand to your client’s Dubsado account by selecting the Brand card.
Note: If you don’t have enough Brands available, you’ll be prompted to purchase an additional Brand for a one-time fee.
Step 4: Activate Genie in Your Client’s Account
To enable Genie for the new Brand:
- Add a Dub-ins template to your client’s Dubsado, or
- Add the initial Dub-ins script to an existing form
This step is required for Genie to connect to the Brand and allow template editing.
Step 5: Manage Templates in the New Brand
Once the Brand is connected and Genie is activated:
- You can edit, add, or remove templates in your client’s forms
- All updates happen inside the Genie Brand you created for that client
- Your client’s live forms continue to function while you make edits
